What is a hackathon?

The simplest way to characterize a hackathon is as a "invention marathon," or to put it another way, they are simply events where you bring your wildest ideas to life. Any tech enthusiast, regardless of their particular sector, is welcome to attend and take part in this event, which offers a laid-back and productive weekend for learning, building, and sharing creations. Hackathons are essentially a platform for creativity and self-expression where individuals gather and use technology to turn their ideas into reality.

How big a team can be?

The minimum team size is two and the maximum team size is four.

Who all can participate?

Only students are permitted to participate in this hackathon. At the event, you will need to provide your student ID card as proof.

Do I need to have any specific qualifications to be a participant for the hackathon?

You are more than welcome to take part in the hackathon if you enjoy writing code.

I'm not a citizen of India.Can I participate?

Motivation is the sole requirement to participate in this hackathon. You are more than welcome if you enjoy coding and have a creative mind. Therefore, you are always invited to participate in our hackathon if you are an international participant.

I am a newbie, can I hack?

You can, of course! Thanks to our mentors and volunteers that support us in doing the same, we at GLB Hackathon make sure that nobody is left behind during the hacking. We guarantee that you will learn as much as possible while still having a good time and getting a sense of community.

Is there any registration fees for participation?

We do not wish to commercialize education, community, or creativity. So, There is no participation/registration fees.

Can I start working on my hack before the event?

No. Fairness dictates that students shouldn't start working on their projects before GLB Hackathon starts, and participants aren't permitted to work on projects that have already started. You can, nevertheless, acquaint yourself in advance with all the instruments and technologies you plan to utilize.

What to bring to the hackathon?

Kindly ensure you have a working university ID (or any other student ID if you're in high school), chargers, a laptop or computer, and any hardware you plan to utilize for your hack. No firearms, weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are allowed on campus.

Does GLB Hackathon provides Internet facility during hackathon?

Although we may set up a maximum of one connection per team, it is recommended that you bring your own broadband or hotspot equipment.

What is the shortlisting procedure?

Teams will be selected for the hackathon based on the information they submitted on the registration form.

I am below 18 or a high school student. Can I attend the hackathon?

Yes, you are very welcome, however to remain on the property from the fourth to the fifth grade, you will need your parents' permission.
